Heat Wave Blues
Finished this knife and sheath yesterday. Still have to get it listed in the store after sharpening. Might possibly happen today….hopefully.
Lined up in the shop are 2 of my 4 inch Vikings in 1095 and 2 of my V2 drop points in AEB-L stainless and that big asymmetrical dagger in 1/4” 5160 carbon steel.
But first… I have to clean and reset my work areas. It’s amazing how I can fill a 32 square foot table with tools, supplies, and scraps after just a couple of projects. And that’s not even counting my chemical and machine benches! Normally I’d just take my arm and push everything off into boxes and tubs and let future-me deal with the headache later, but I’m working towards the goal of organizing my work area for video and live streams.
All this to say that today and Monday will be organization and prep since it’s going to be getting so hot. Don’t want to be out there with my forge and tempering ovens running all day… Also don’t want to spend the days cleaning, but I think the efforts will pay dividends later.
It’s a quarter till 5 and I see dawn starting to break. Time to knock back my coffee and get busy.
